Anyone concerned about the price of their gas or electricity given recent news has the opportunity to get a free energy price comparison call.
Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire is offering a call with their trained, independent adviser who can advise on whether there are cheaper energy tariff options.
This is timely as recent news suggests energy prices will rise. It could be particularly worth checking prices for anyone who has not changed tariff for a while.
Anyone with a specific energy issue – such as a problem with a bill or supplier – can also sign up for help from the charity’s energy specialist.
The charity’s energy expert Marion said: “Marion said: “There are quite a few ways that you can make savings on your electricity costs.
“In addition to fixing or changing provider there are savings to be made in changing the way that you pay, making better use of your smart meter to take advantage of low peak rates. And of course making sure that you are cutting down on your usage.
“We can also help if you are having trouble meeting your payments.”
