2024 Community Fundraising News

Here we highlight some of the amazing things you are doing to raise awareness of our work and the need for financial help to keep our service going in South Gloucestershire.

If you would like to support our work in your workplace or local community, please go to our fundraising pages where you can get inspired.

Cotswold Way Challenge: June 2024

A handful of our staff and volunteers took part in the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge – taking part in an impressive 47km walk from Wotton under Edge to Cirencester, a cause close to their hearts as it takes in some of our own county that they help every day.

After months of training and sponsorship, they took on the one-day walk and completed it successfully, raising an impressive £4980.50!

At the same time, our Foodbank Advisor also raised an impressive £692.50 by walking 25km from Sharpness Docks to Gloucester!

Great Bristol Run: May 2024

Huge thanks to our 10K runners at the Great Bristol Run for training hard and collecting a combined sponsorship of £1700!

It was a hot day and our runners did really well! Thank you so much to all who sponsored them. Your donations will go to supporting even more people in South Gloucestershire.

Lyegrove Lodge No 7890

We’ve received a fantastic donation of £1,000 from members of Lyegrove Lodge No 7890 Freemasons in Chipping Sodbury. Thank you so much. The money will go towards renovating our new premises in Yate – which will allow us to double the number of clients we can help each week. Read more in our news story.
