Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire has moved to a new address – here’s what you need to know

We’re very pleased to say we have moved to a new address in Yate – a bigger building with more space to help more people face-to-face each week as well as better facilities.
As of 23rd June 2025, we are running all services from our new Advice Centre at the following address:
Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire, Unit 1 Badminton Court, Station Road, Yate BS37 5Hz (what.three.words: jiffy.validated.flux)
Look for the building with a clock tower just to the east of Yate Railway Station on Station Road.
We are no longer based at Kennedy Way.
Check back on www.southgloscab.org.uk and our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter/X pages as well as our Weekly Round-Up newsletter for more updates.
Our Monday, Tuesday and Friday face-to-face open door sessions in Yate as well as face-to-face appointments – such as for debt or PIP – no longer take place at Kennedy Way and now happen solely at Unit 1 Badminton Court. Other drop-in sessions around South Gloucestershire will be unaffected.
We are thankful for your patience during this period and look forward to sharing our new building with you.
PLEASE NOTE – there is no parking available on site for our drop-in sessions in Yate. Please use public transport or nearby public car parks.
How to get to us by bus
There are bus stops on either side of Station Road very close to our building. These bus stops are served by
- the 86 (Stagecoach) – which goes between Kingswood and Yate Shopping Centre via Emersons Green and Coalpit Heath
- the Y1 (First) – going between Bristol City Centre and Yate via Winterbourne
- the Y2 (First) – going between Bristol City Centre and Yate via Winterbourne
- the Y6 (First) – between Broadmead and Chipping Sodbury via Winterbourne
There is also a new Y2C minibus service linking Yate to Cribbs Causeway via Thornbury and the villages in the north west of South Gloucestershire. The bus stops at Cranleigh Court Road – a short walk from our new Advice Centre in Station Road.
How to get to us on foot (from Yate Town Centre)
We’re 0.7 miles from our previous office by Yate Leisure Centre.
Facing the entrance to the leisure centre on the shopping centre side, you can take the pedestrian walkway to the right of the building which leads towards Morrisons.
Then simply walk along Station Road until you reach Badminton Court. This is the red brick building with a clock tower immediately before you reach the railway station.
The length of time this walk would take would be around 16 minutes for most people, though will be different from person to person.
How to get to us by bike
There is cycle parking at Yate Railway Station.
How to get to us by car
Yate Park and Ride is a ten-minute walk away from our Advice Centre along Station Road, towards the town centre.
There is a public car park at Yate Railway Station.
NB: Parking charges may apply. Please check the relevant signs if you choose to park in any of the public car-parks.
PLEASE NOTE – There is no parking available on site for our drop-in sessions in Yate. Please use nearby public car parks.
How to get to us by train
We are right next to Yate Railway Station – meaning we are extremely well-placed for anyone coming to Yate by train. Trains coming from the Bristol Temple Meads arrive at Platform 1. Trains coming from Gloucester arrive at Platform 2. Train times at the station can be found here.
