We at Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire are able to give you a free carbon monoxide alarm as well as advice on avoiding the ‘silent killer’ gas.

CO is produced by some household appliances if they are installed or used incorrectly. It cannot be seen or smelt and exposure can cause poisoning and death. CO poisoning is responsible for 40 deaths and around 4,000 A&E visits in England and Wales each year.
