People living in Lyde Green will now have their own face-to-face advice session from Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire. This is an invaluable service.
The charity offers free, independent and confidential advice to anyone who needs it. It will now be in the heart of the community in Lyde Green.
The new session will take place at Lyde Green Community Centre on Mondays from 10am to 12 noon. It will start on Monday 8th April and Emersons Green Town Council funds the session.
Residents will be able to go to the community centre – without an appointment. They will be seen by an experienced Adviser who will help with their problem.
If the situation is complex and a follow-up is needed – such as for debt or energy – Advisers will book an appointment with the charity.
Previously, people in Lyde Green who were struggling with a problem would have had to travel to the charity’s other drop-ins in South Gloucestershire.
This includes the one already held at Emersons Green Village Hall on Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon. Emersons Green Town Council also funds this session.
Now, anyone looking for help with debt, benefits, housing, relationship breakdown, employment or virtually any other problem will have help on their door step.
