The news will be welcome at a time when more and more people are facing hardship amid the cost-of-living crisis.
Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire has extended its free face-to-face advice sessions to the area.
The session is funded by Emersons Green Town Council and will take place at Emersons Green Village Hall.
Anyone with a problem will be able to come for free, one-to-one support on Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon. The new Emersons Green sessions start on April 6.
New venue in Thornbury
And the charity has also secured funding from Thornbury Town Council to run an advice session in a new venue. The funding will safeguard the project for three years.
Citizens Advice South Gloucestershire will now run an advice session in Thornbury Town Hall.
Sessions have previously been held at Turnberries Community Centre. They will still be held on Tuesdays from 10am to 12 noon at the new venue. The new Thornbury sessions start on April 4.
The new additions will be held alongside existing sessions in Yate, Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford and Cadbury Heath.
More details about times and locations of these sessions can be found on our website.
The developments come at a time when there has been a 14 per cent increase in people coming to charity with cost-of-living-related problems.
The charity helped 4,778 people last year with 22,493 issues. It saved clients a combined total of £4.4 million.
That is the equivalent of £920 back in the pocket of each person we helped.
